The Klingensmith house was first inhabited by Frank and Ellen Klingensmith between 1908 and 1910. Frank Klingensmith was a Lutheran pastor and he moved his family to Livingston to become the pastor of the soon to be built Church of the Redeemer Lutheran Church. They rented at first, from a Mrs. Kerin. Frank died in 1916. His widow purchased the property from Mrs. Kerin shortly after this. The house stayed in the Klingensmith family until the mid 20th century.
The home is now owned by another family who treasures their time in Livingston and enjoys sharing their home with others.
Livingston is unique in so many ways, and many movies, books and stories have tried to capture its rugged, individual and quirky ways. Come stay in this renovated in-town home and see for yourself the magic of a Livingston Saturday Night. You never know who or what you might see and run into in this town that defies time and logic.
You will want or need for nothing in this fully furnished and appointed home, mere blocks away from world class fine dining, dive bars, magical festivals, breathtaking scenery and freestone rivers.
The home sleeps up to 10 without issue and has space to eat, play games, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and even play a little ping pong game. Staying in town and using The Klingensmith House as you base for Yellowstone National Park and Montana adventures will be the best decision you can make!
